May 17 Saturday, 2pm	*Book signing at the Center* Author Pari Noskin Taichert will be at the Center to sign her new novel, "The Socorro Blast" more >>>
June 7 Saturday 11am - 4pm	*Spring Fiesta* Learn about the New Mexican environment and its wonderful resources through information booths and hands-on activities ranging from minerals, animals, and plants. Event will feature a slide-show presentation by Bill Dunmire, author of Gardens of New Spain, courtesy of New Mexico Humanities Council. Details will be posted when the program is finalized.
June 7 thru September 30	*Reflections of the Rio Abajo* This collection of 35 photographs by Charlie Sanchez, Jr. features a reflective meditation upon the obscure, abandoned, and forgotten places and building of New Mexico's Rio Abajo. Each photograph is accompanied by the poetry of Irene Sanchez. The June 7th opening reception will include a gallery talk by the photographer and poetry reading.

September 13 thru September 28	*Santeros del Rio Abajo* Exhibition will feature 30 santero artists from New Mexico’s Rio Abajo. Visitors will be able to meet and great the artists during the opening reception on September 13^th. Opening reception will also include wood-carving, tin art, and straw appliqué demonstrations.
November 1 Saturday 11am - 3pm	Día de Muertos A celebration of Mexico’s Day of the Dead, celebration will feature guest lecture by Catalina Delgado-Trunk, storytelling, sugar skull decoration, and viewing of altar installation Click here for photos and details of last year's Día de Muertos (See what you missed)
November 1 thru December 31	*Descansos y Campos Santos del Rio Abajo* This CD exhibition showcases 50 images of roadside “descansos” and cemetery sites in New Mexico’s Rio Abajo area. Images are enhanced with a wonderful music selection showcasing the local music of New Mexico.
November 15 Saturday 8am - 8pm	*VIAJE DEL CAMINO REAL* Celebrate the Center’s 3^rd anniversary with our first annual Viaje del Camino Real (Journey the Camino Real) festival. Activities will include special workshops and presentations in Socorro, activities at the Center, tours of the trail, and an evening "Trail Dinner" overlooking the Jornada del Muerto with campfire talks and songs. Details will be posted as the program becomes finalized. Check back soon for on-line registration.
December 13 Saturday 11am - 3pm	*Christmas at El Camino Real* Kick off the holidays with a very special presentation of *Merry-Achi Christmas, courtesy of City of Socorro. Also enjoy the 3^rd annual Posada procession, special performances, visit from Santa Claus, and ornament making.
